RRA 2006 Futurity

Held at The Yellow Rose
Starting at 10:00 am, November 21, 2006

The RRA would like to thank everyone for enterting this fun event. There was some tough competition and a few suprises as the horses and riders battled for those top 3 spots each round. A big congratulations goes out to Docs Winning BMW ridden and owned by Megan L from SKR who took home our grand prize of $10,000. They consistently placed in the top 3 of each round, and were easily the crowd favorite. Shanghai Lights ridden and owned by Rachel Garber, missed her chance at moving on in the First Go-Round, but proved she wanted to win and just snuck into the Third Go-Round in Round 2, placing second in the Final Round. I'm Red Hot owned by Danya Stevenson from LEC followed the same path to the Final Go-Round as Shanghai Lights did. Just sneaking in to that Last Round with a third place finish in Round Three. Stonelark Dignified Doc ridden and owned by Silence of SFI @ GMF, and SKR Dunit Like Lena ridden and owned by Sarah Lehnen of FF had consistently placed in the top three, but just couldn't pull through in the Final Go-Round. A Smooth Crime, another horse owned by Megan L from SKR finished 5th in the Final Go-Round, proving how talented those SKR horses can be.

The RRA looks forward to seeing everyone for our last show of this season in December, and then hope you all join us for Season Three which will kick off in January. We have lots of fun events in the works, including a Derby in the Spring. Also, a big thanks to the Riata Show Fund. They are responsible for the great payouts you guys received in this event.
